Westin and Le Meridien together for Unicef

ST JULIANS, MALTA - SEPTEMBER, 10^th 2010

The Westin Dragonara Resort and Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa will be organising a fundraising lunch Barbecue on Sunday 19^th of September 2010 at Le Méridien St Julians. What promises to be a lavish Barbecue experience will be sold at €20 per adult. Children less than three years old eat free of charge and children up to 12 years old benefit from a discount price (€10 only per child). All proceeds will be donated to UNICEF to support Starwood's Road to Awareness campaign.

Thanks to the support of Starwood's guests, 1,500 children in South Africa will receive a better education next year and will improve their prospects for the future. Starwood's funding will help UNICEF improve conditions in schools and help guarantee that schools are safe and protective environments where children can reach their full potential.

This Barbecue forms part of a UNICEF fundraising day that both properties will be putting together as one team. Associates and gym members from both hotels will be participating in a triathlon which commences at 9.30am from Westin Dragonara and ends at Le Méridien St Julians. This fun and sportive event will then be followed by the fundraising Barbecue mentioned above. The Barbecue is planned to start at around noon.

Apart form the delicious food that will be prepared by Le Méridien Chefs, this Barbecue event will also offer the possibility of winning great trips to European destinations.
