LE MERIDIEN

... an abstract art collection, the latest works by Mark Mallia,
is being proudly presented and displayed
at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa for 2 weeks
(January 25th to February 6th).

Mark Mallia's works have been exhibited in various collective venues in Malta, including a solo at the Museum of Fine Arts, Valletta, 2 solos in Monaco and his most recent one "ABSYNTHE " where he presented cameo water colors and acrylics at the "SkyRoom" at the end of 2008.

Mallia is mostly self-taught and an "allievo" of Esprit Barthet, his role model who exercised a great influence on his artistic concepts and renderings.

Mark Mallia breathes art. He is versatile, prolific yet original in his concepts. His approach to a painting is clinical yet full of verve, color and reveals his innermost feelings at a given moment in time ----capturing essentially what struck him as a vision to be shared with the viewer. The Heart cries out and the Soul comprehends... which is exactly what the Exhibition "To be or not to be" is all about... a personalized visual message to each beholder.
