LMSJ unveils its new arrival experience
Le Méridien St Julians Hotel and Spa launched its Arrival Experience in January 2009 to the local media, trade partners and friends.
A launch party was held in the hotel's lobby, capturing all elements that connect with the guest. This initiative is based on Starwood new distinctive 5 star standards for all Le Méridien Hotels worldwide. During the launch party, Angela Saliba, Hotel Manager, proudly introduced the components of the experience: the transitional portal, the sensory experience, the elevated experience and the unlock art program.
The new portal of Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa is a transition from the outside world into the world of Le Méridien. The graphic art appliqué that is now displayed on both the main entrance and the back entrance of Le Méridien St Julians Hotel, was designed by Japanese born Hisham Bharoocha.
Once through the transitional portal of Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa, arriving guests are introduced to a real Sensory Experience, enveloped with Le Méridien's signature scent, sound and use of light.
Le Méridien also transformed the expected and predictable event of riding an elevator into an "Elevating Experience" through video and sound. The Elevated Experience has already become a talking point at Le Méridien St Julians Hotel & Spa.
Finally, Le Méridien's Unlock Art program includes an artist-designed key card that offers access to more than just the guest room. At Le Méridien St Julians, the keycards have been created by the artist Michael Lin and give guests access to St. James Cavalier cultural institution.
Once these 4 new and exciting elements of the Hotel life were presented, the Team of Le Méridien St Julian's acted their first "lighting ritual" in front of partners and media. This new Le Méridien standard celebrates the passage from day to night, with Le Méridien associates lighting numerous candles, strategically placed around the Hotel lobby, whilst the artificial lights are being dimmed. This unique ritual will be performed daily on a soothing melody and will offer guests the possibility to ease into the intimate and relaxing ambiance of the night.
The rest of the night was filled in with great live music performed on the saxophone, free flowing wine and intriguing yet enjoyable lighting installed for the occasion.
